Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of BotBasis and all related services. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
01 Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using BotBasis (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account or deploying a bot, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. In that case, "you" and "your" refers to that organisation.
02 Services
BotBasis provides Discord bot hosting infrastructure including persistent compute workers, database services, realtime dashboards, and associated tooling (collectively, the "Service"). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
Service tiers and features available to you depend on your subscription plan. We make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- Free tier includes 1 concurrent bot, 512 MB RAM, and community support.
- Pro tier includes 2 concurrent bots, 1 GB RAM, and priority support.
- Team tier includes 5 concurrent bots, 1.5 GB RAM, and a dedicated account manager.
03 Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must promptly notify us at security@botbasis.com if you suspect any unauthorised use.
You may not share account credentials with others or create accounts for the purpose of circumventing plan limits. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
04 Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including those relating to data privacy and export controls.
- Host bots or code that harasses, threatens, or abuses other users or third parties.
- Distribute malware, conduct phishing attacks, or engage in any form of network abuse.
- Mine cryptocurrency or carry out computationally intensive tasks unrelated to Discord bot operation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Circumvent rate limits, abuse the free tier, or artificially inflate usage metrics.
We reserve the right to suspend bots or accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, violate these acceptable use policies, without prior notice in urgent situations.
05 Payments & billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. All prices are in EUR and exclude VAT where applicable. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
Failed payments may result in service suspension. We will make reasonable attempts to notify you before suspending your account. Accounts suspended for non-payment may be terminated after 30 days.
06 Intellectual property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of BotBasis and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any code, configurations, or data you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant BotBasis a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and run Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
07 Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon deletion, your data will be purged from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
08 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BotBasis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €50.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
09 Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam.
